happy new year happy new adventures…

I have been “gone” living life and not blogging it ~ we are honored to be “getting” an exchange student for a couple months and we have been full-steam-ahead preparing for him. He is coming from Korea and he arrives TODAY!!! I am beside myself with anticipation and excitement. It truly feels like it is my child that is flying across oceans to another county and therefore everything must be perfect for his arrival. OK, not perfect, but as good as I can get it so he feels comfortable and welcome.

We built a loft bed that I need to go add his “American” name to and later the boys will paint in Korean! I still need to get bike helmet for him, thanks to my friend I have a bike to borrow. We have to finish and hang the welcome sign and clean towels and new hampers and and and… so why am I blogging?! ha!  Just want to remind myself of this day and this morning and all the adventure that is my life since I had kiddos.

I want to remember everything and quite honestly I need help to do that, hence my photography, blog and hopefully scrapbooking again!!

One of my favorite young ladies, missC spared a moment for me to snap a few ~ this is just one that I grabbed so mamaF can see that indeed I got one! I am so very very very blessed to call their entire family friends, we all are. MamaC was with me when my misterN was flying off in a helicopter headed for Children’s Hospital, mamaC was with me when I had to leave my kiddo in kindergarten, actually she was with me as we stayed in class cutting out puppets so we didn’t actually have to leave our babies! ha! Thank you mamaC for bringing missD by too, her pics are adorable as well…you and your family are such a blessing blessing blessing. two peas in a pod…

 Here is one of the happiest young people I know, missH…she and her mom are like two peas in a pod. Both of them generous, kind, funny, smart, clever and obviously gorgeous…mamaJ, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your encouragement and help ~ I would be still be there shooting if it wasn’t for you and your kindness, organization and plain ‘ol hard work. I am beyond thrilled that our kiddos have spent the last 6 years together in elementary school and I honestly can NOT beleive that they are almost ready for the next chapter. You and your missH have added so much joy and competition(!) (really, another ar test?!?!) to our lives and we are forever changed for the better because of both of you…

 I have so much to post that is wait for it…wait for it…actually work related!! Did you faint?!  I know I have avoided it, I have denied it, I have even forgotten about it…but it is time to pay the piper, suck it up, do the right thing, stand tall and be brave, no wait, I don’t have to stand at all, just edit and post…and edit and post I will…promise!
