    Pure Love Conquers Sorrow

I was very fortunate to be invited to capture some memories for sweet missH on her first birthday.

The love surrounding her was on this special day was palpable.

JOY and HOPE for her life and her future completely outshone the sorrow of her loss.

(Tragically, both of her parents were killed in an auto accident just months ago)

LOVE, pure LOVE, transformed and conquered all other emotions as little missH and her precious life were celebrated.

My wish and my prayer and my hope for you, missH, is that you will always know the love and comfort that you knew this day.

    You are loved.

    Be Blessed

…love is in the details nancyelizabeth photography

I truly believe that it is the little things that matter most. The details of life are what we remember and what makes u who we are. If you step back we are all very much alike, but if you look closely you will find that we are all indeed unique and special. I love to capture the details in my sessions and this is an example of the that belief.

This is what tells the story.

    The details.

caught…San Diego OC Southern California Photography

Quick post as I am buried in images: lovely, hilarious, sweet, spontaneous, loving and beautiful moments that I get to relive, lucky lucky me. My assistant “caught” this moment and I am filled with equal parts gratitude for her getting it and envy for me missing it.

Thanks missC for spending the day with us: your beauty is outmatched only by your kindness and sweet demeanor.

Wishing you a day as wonderful as mine.

    Old school Film…Photographer…San Diego…Riverside…OC

Working on a little old school film effects today.

The only regret that I have is that I had a limited amount of time to spend with him. I would have LOVED to hear his stories. His life. His memories. His dreams. I can only imagine how he grew up in his village in Spain. Imagine what he has seen and experienced. His eyes, quick smile and generous spirit emanated a feeling of pure joy. I bet he has a truckload of stories.

    Regret stinks..

I could have learned so much about what really matters.

    Be Blessed

    Where are the men?

    basketball dreams…

MisterM is one of my favorite young men…he and his “girl” bring much light and laughter into the world around them and they will be missed as they leave the good o’ U S of A to begin their adventures abroad ~ wishing them both much love and joy on  their journey and of course grand success on the pro basketball courts for misterM! Yes, PRO!! Hooray! Yipeeee! Woo-Hoo!!

I am so proud of you for fighting so hard, for believing in your dreams and for living them. Hold your head high and relish every minute of it ~ you earned this and the world will be watching and you know I will be watching and rooting for you both!

thank you for always trusting me with your memories ~ I can not wait for the rest of the pictures and the rest of the sessions we will have in the future! Now…go give ‘em hell (as my dad would say) and don’t forget to ENJOY it ALL!!

misterM…aka the master of the court!

never too late to begin again…

or at least that is my thinking as I return to this blog and try and decide where to “go” with it and what it’s purpose is…

What started out as a way to remember my clients, my family, my life became a way to thank my clients, offer sneak peaks at their images and document my children as they grow up. It is a messy place that gets confused with work and family and dreams and life: it is my life, a messy one but a full and happy one.

I have been spending more time posting to FB  than here and I think that is a mistake as I miss out on the details sometimes. However it is faster, easier, less consuming so I am sure it will continue.

That being said, I want to come back and figure out what belongs here and how to make that happen without it consuming me or my time. Blogging, for me, should be enjoyable. Blogging should not be a chore or something to cross of my list: which is was becoming and hence I simply crossed it off my list! Life is too short to have “one more thing” to do for no apparent reason. So…although nothing has been decided, except, I still want to remember, to show clients a sneak peek, and document my dreams and my children as we all grow and change. I am happy you are here to do this

with me. Welcome back, my friend, it has been too long!

did some head-shots for a business a while back, here is one of the admin. ladies who was so funny and kind…

    may you be blessed

    happy st. patty’s day…

from my home to yours…may the road rise to meet you

and may your Irish eyes be smiling…

Former Temecula attorney drops job to help her daughter fight cancer

By Kerri S. Mabee, on September 5, 2011, at 7:07 am

I am blessed to be documenting this special event for missSophie…

    Fundraiser info…

If you want to purchase tickets to go to the event for four year old Sophie Lawler-Ehr…the event will take place at Longshadow Ranch Winery, this Friday, October 7th from 6pm to 10 pm - Children are welcome, they will have great entertainment for them too! Tickets: $20.00 - Adults, $10.00 - Kids - Catering by Wahoo’s restaurant!

Just a few weeks ago, Colleen Lawler, a former public defender at the Southwest Justice Center and mother to four year-old Sophie Lawler-Ehr, received some news that would devastate any parent. Shortly after Sophie complained of a pain in her chest, it was discovered that a malignant tumor was lodged just above her lungs.

“Apparently they cannot at this point determine what type of tumor Sophie has,” said deputy public defender Erin Kirkpatrick, a close friend of Lawler’s. “They think the tumor can be either Ewings’ Sarcoma or Small Cell Lymphoma… Both are equally bad and both are extremely aggressive.”

Sophie’s family is preparing to wage war against the cancer, Kirkpatrick said, with plans in the works for a benefit concert and a  website dedicated to raising funds for the battle that looms ahead.

“Colleen was  always told that she couldn’t get pregnant. So having Sophie was a miracle,” said Kirkpatrick. ” This has completely devastated Colleen.”

Lawler, who lives in Oceanside,  has worked as a defense attorney in Temecula for nearly eight years. She recently quit her job to focus on helping Sophie in her fight.

“Information is coming in quickly. The family is deciding on chemo, and waiting for a report that will determine how aggressive they will have to be with the treatment,” Kirkpatrick said.

thinking of getting this for the kids bathroom…

love that you can have two sinks in such a small bath and the green apple color makes you want to go brush your teeth and smile at yourself, both good things for the kiddos in my book!
