urban senior and my caffeine drip…
this is for mama K because I know you are checking!
I have the caffeine drip attached…I will not stop editing… will not stop editing…

LOVE miss R’s look in this… poised, relaxed, contemplative, she nails it all…
and the textures… from her soft ruffles next to her rough denim and the delicate bracelet leaning against the brick wall ~ put it all together and you get Vogue!

and a totally different “look” miss R can go from gorgeous and tough to sweet and stylish is a blink of an eye…

this just grabs you and takes you in…

will post more asap…
will not stop editing… will not stop editing….will not stop editing…
(miss R takes my breath away in this photo)
one more… a favorite…
ok… my kids are begging for food… will keep editing, but need to toss them a slice of bread!
hope this gives you a smile…
many more to come…
Be Blessed

heaven sent…
I had to take a minute and show you this bundle that is straight from heaven. He is just so beautiful and sweet ~ and so very fresh from heaven.
Welcome to the world little S…

a very happy ( and gorgeous) mama ~ she doesn’t own sweats or hair clippies I am certain, she always has that radiant in love look about her… 8 months pregnant or just home from the hospital after a lengthy delivery, no problem for mama S just give her a minute and bam! supermodel mom ~ and she is a nice as she looks.

just look at that precious face, those tiny fingers and gorgeous eyes, don’t get me started on his lips and “cooing” abilities… ahhhhh heaven
he is only 8 days old and already paying attention to his parents and the world around him, he’s a smarty-pants already…
gotta get those baby feet, I love how you can see mom’s ring, dad’s hand, baby feet creases and even the prick from the heel test…

I adore how he is looking at little S, proud papa…

a bundle of joy…oh yeah, and supermom MADE the blanket, of course!!

my hear just aches…
for some reason my hubby is just walking around shaking his head mumbling “don’t even think about it”
what he reads minds now??
until next time…
Be Blessed

a dad among fathers…
my dad is a dad among fathers because:
fathers are careful with their words, they would never send their daughter off with “give ‘em hell” encouragement as she goes off to school and softball games, like a dad would.(don’t cringe mom, it was great advice and it rings in my ears just before I go try something new, scary or difficult for me to this day)
fathers are germ-a-phobs, unlike a dad, they would NEVER suck on an old garden house in order to remove the rising food waters in your playroom… time and time again
fathers are tired, too tired to come to your softball games, let alone teach you how to pitch windmill style for hours and hours… although some unnamed dad did slow me down with that batting device, you remember the one dad? the torture device that you put on my bat and and made me swing until my arms fell off… then you said, “just 20 more?!” (where can I get one for Noah ~ do they make them for baseball?!)
fathers are formal and don’t let you wipe your food off on your sleeve, unlike a dad, a sleeve, back of your hand, whatever… (we use napkins now that I am a mom) but seriously, “a little dirt is good for you, just like a little blood…”
fathers are uninvolved, the opposite of a real dad, they don’t know the latest saga of your teenage angst, they don’t take time to hit pumpkins off your head, or engage you in a conversation about your fingerless lace gloves and black mini on your way to the KISS concert, they certainly don’t know about your “grown up life”, let alone your hubby’s and your children’s…
fathers are selfish, never would they give up the most treasured gift on earth… TIME. Fathers just work and work and work… they don’t make work look like fun or trick you into thinking washing their car is a reward, and going to the dump is a great privilege…fathers just aren’t that bright! dad’s are clever, some may say sneaky… that’s another story
fathers are doom and gloom, they don’t show you your potential or teach you about God and the goodness on earth, certainly they don’t take time to teach your Sunday School class, but dads do this and so much more.
fathers fill this world… and on this day, I am so thrilled to say that I don’t have a father, I have a dad. The most caring, generous, loving, kind, funny dad that God has ever created, mine.
I have more to say (no surprise there!) but I need to go see him and tell him that he is loved and admired~ right after my kids canon ball him in the pool of course!
because a post is better with a picture, here is a snapshot of two girls that LOVE this man, my dad, her granddad…. Happy Father’s Day!

I would be remiss is saying happy father’s day to my hubby, who is turning into a “real dad” with every passing day!
Be Blessed

editorial photography, Los Angeles
getting further and further behind…but it’s all good
Here are a few from Mark’s shoot at www.themountainmermaid.comin Topanga Canyon a few weeks back, the day of the fires… they were dodging massive sprinklers that covered and protected the entire grounds… I was sorry to miss it on one hand but thrilled not to be in the 6 hours of traffic to get home 100 miles ~ gotta love California! Overall, I would say it was worth his efforts (easy for me to say from the comfort of my computer). Seriously, these images are touching, classy and just plain old gorgeous, if I do say so myself. (hey, wife bragging rights, OK?) Mark is now our “official” wedding photographer ~ so if you have an upcoming nuptials drop us an email ans we’ll see what we can do for you.
This is one of my favorites.
I love the desaturated “timeless feel” to this. The movement of her dress combined with her look draws me in and makes me wonder just what is going through her mind.

and well, magic is all I can say…
this belongs on the big screen…romance coupled with gentle passion brewing just below the surface…

can you say modern bride?

ahh… another moment that takes me back to my days of romance novels…

she is simply breathtaking…

here it is in color and with the groom!

… and just in case you wondered if she was happy, YES she was! I tend to post the more high fashion, editorial look.
Be Blessed
