    temecula photographer…san diego photographer

Busy week ahead. I get to shoot another awesome high school senior, two great doggies, a family full of grand-kiddos and a horse! Should be fun and with the weather finally warming up I will  be in hog-heaven. A sneak peek from the V family session…recognize the ugly wall from the estate? Yup! We headed back out to my favorite estate to wander the morning away. I like mamaV’s striking seriousness in the photo; the contrast with the rest of the family: I have plenty of you smiling mamaV, no worries! Also, lovin’ the way little brotherR is holding both big sister’s hands…

    ahh.. families

    may you be blessed

I am finally commited to decorating my home! We have been talking of moving since we moved in 9 years ago and I have waited to do anything, plus I am cheap and prioritize vacations in LaJolla over furniture and my expensive paint ~ but not more: I am ready to do something, anything to make it “our” home. We all love the sun-room and my office, E’s room is great as is N’s… so now to the rest of the house starting in the living and dining room.  After reading what I wrote, that doesn’t really tell the story. When we bought the house 9 years ago we gutted it and replaced all flooring, toilets, sinks, etc.. but that was 9 years ago and we have since had to redo the wood floors downstairs due to flood, so two wood flooring jobs later I am ready to move onto bigger and better issues, like wainscoting, reupholstering and basic decorating. Any ideas are always welcome! I tend to like bright and airy, uplifting colors…

white on white is good to me! I am liking the stair railings…

I could decorate them seasonally or paint rails in bright colors just because I could…

    senior photographer temecula…

Finally finishing up missC’s senior photos, too many good ones. Sometimes that happens and I just keep them all because well, I can! She only needs a couple but seriously, could you choose? Obviously, I can’t. These are just the sneak peek of her session! Thanks so much missC for making my job NOT a job and for you for simply being you. I feel like we were meant to meet and my heart is lighter because of you: you give me hope for the future. You, missC, have so many looks and “sides” to your personality all of which the camera loved, as did I. Thanks again for trusting me with your precious senior photos.

without further ado… a sneak peek for you

    a girl with secrets…missC

well, maybe no secrets just sweetness…missC

no, definitelya wild side or, at least mischievous, to missC…

the light I needed ~ we got it missC

    thanks misterM

this could be called…country girl ~ missC

and this is of course, city girl ~ missC

    amazing accordian books…

Basically, the title says it all… these sweet little accordionbooks make my week. They fit in any purse and make a great grandparents gift. Even with all the ipads and touch phones nothing beats a real photo that you actually hold, there is just something about it that makes the people feel closer when you hold them!

I have lots to edit and I am doing just that.

Hope your day is a good one.

Japan.. how heavy my heart is when I watch the video and hear the stories, but by the grace of God it wasn’t here in California and my family is safe and healthy. this is from the ShelterBox site and I encourage everyone to do something, anything, to help those families across the globe. Please pray for them and do whatever feels right to you, near or far, we are all connected.

We’ve all seen the images and videos rolling in of the devastation from the Japan earthquake and tsunamis. While aftershocks and tsunami scares are still happening days later, the nation is in for a long long road of recovery. So far, the death toll is estimated to be 2,800. In just one town, 9,500 are missing. Not only do the survivors have to suffer the loss of loved ones, but as temperatures fall, electricity, water and food are now scarce to none. Many have tried to go back to their homes and to start picking up the pieces, only to find the tsunamis have plowed their homes down and there is literally nothing for them to come home to. Convenience stores have lines hours long and a limit of 10 items to each person. The second crisis has only begun and so many are left helpless.

We are not ones to sit and do nothing. While as much as we’d like to hop on a plane and fly there to help with the search and rescue, the immediate need for help for those in Japan is the dire need for shelter. This fundraising page is specifically geared to help with that. Utterly Engaged and Ever Ours have handpicked ShelterBox as the organization to donate to.

ShelterBox provide emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world who are affected by disasters at the time when they need it the most. Each large green ShelterBox is tailored to a disaster but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, water storage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove, a basic tool kit, a children’s activity pack and other vital items. A whole box costs $1,000 (US), so we’re hoping to raise enough to send 5 boxes.

Please join us. We know it won’t save the nation, but we strongly believe every little helps. Whatever you can contribute, we truly appreciate.

    may you be blessed

    happy weekend!

senior portrait photographer…riverside, san diego, oc

The sun was peeking through the trees and the peacocks were yelling their gorgeous little heads off. As the mud squished into my flats, reminding me that yes indeed I should definitely have gone with the boots, I was so happy to be shooting at ‘the estate” again.  An incredible young lady, missC, gave me distinct pleasure of capturing her last moments as a senior. MissC is intelligent, hilarious, gracious and ready to get OUT of high school and on to college: I believe she needs a challenge and her nursing career plans will indeed give her that, neonatal specialty to boot. You go missC, those babies need your kindness and effervescent smilethat literally lights up the world around you.

Grateful to have my computer back, here is a sneak peek at the stunning missC.
