I am beyond thrilled that our kiddos have spent the last 6 years together in elementary school and I honestly can NOT beleive that they are almost ready for the next chapter. You and your missH have added so much joy and competition(!) (really, another ar test?!?!) to our lives and we are forever changed for the better because of both of you…

    pay the piper…

I have so much to post that is wait for it…wait for it…actually work related!! Did you faint?!  I know I have avoided it, I have denied it, I have even forgotten about it…but it is time to pay the piper, suck it up, do the right thing, stand tall and be brave, no wait, I don’t have to stand at all, just edit and post…and edit and post I will…promise! Unless I get distracted again by all that crafty-goodness in blog land, so really , no promises.

Remember you can always bypass our family stuff, the decorating saga and crafty goodness and go straight to photography by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking the category that interests you!

anyway…here is one shot of missH, a cutie that makes me smile from my head to my toes. I could go on and on about the virtues of marvelous missH, but must get to work! I will simply say she is amazing and I am blessed to know her and her mom, mamaE, thank you thank you thank you for your life-saving help with ALL those kids!! Were you as exhausted as I was?!?

missH…you leave me speechless and smiling ~ a pretty great way to be left, thanks!

    happy fourth…

We’re actually celebrating twice this year, yesterday and today ~ kind’a like we did for Easter. Good thing I like my family!

We are all so grateful to be living in this land of the free and the home of the brave. Thank you to all who fought and continue to fight for our freedom.

Enjoy the fireworks, I know we will!

    redecorating…

Is anyone else hooked on the million dollar decorator show? Quite self-indulgent but still a marvelous train wreck to watch if you ask me! We are still re-doing our entire house…we did it 9 years ago and thought we would move, but alas are staying so it is time for an overhaul, hence the decorating ideas sprouting up all over my blog.

Remember you may always scroll to the area of interest for you and by-pass all this personal talk!

This is another ‘Candace Olson style’ built in design…what little girl wouldn’t love this room? from  http://www.addicted2decorating.com/a-closer-look-at-my-favorite-room-ive-ever-designed.html Isn’t she amazing?! Awesome site, check her out: her designs are inspirational and she seems to be a very NICE person to boot!

    something is happening…

…kids and I are making homemade pizza with fresh veggies from the garden and pepperoni, of course! Never would have dreamed they would ask me if we could use vegetables from our garden. First, me a garden? Second, them eating a vegetable because they want to? Something strange is happening!

    may you be blessed

senior portrait photographer…riverside, san diego, oc

The sun was peeking through the trees and the peacocks were yelling their gorgeous little heads off. As the mud squished into my flats, reminding me that yes indeed I should definitely have gone with the boots, I was so happy to be shooting at ‘the estate” again.  An incredible young lady, missC, gave me distinct pleasure of capturing her last moments as a senior. MissC is intelligent, hilarious, gracious and ready to get OUT of high school and on to college: I believe she needs a challenge and her nursing career plans will indeed give her that, neonatal specialty to boot. You go missC, those babies need your kindness and effervescent smilethat literally lights up the world around you.

Grateful to have my computer back, here is a sneak peek at the stunning missC.
